A talk with Diamonds & Guns

This band is a must for everyone that likes the energy from punkrock! They hail from Sweden’s capitol Stockholm and bring punk-rock with vibes from the American East Coast.
About a month ago Diamonds & Guns released their new single Singing Songs from Hell. A catchy and up-tempo song fit for a party! Two of my favourite songs with Diamonds & Guns are Cheers to Us (2021) and The Lonesome Man (2020).

I had the opportunity to have a brief chat with Victor Ekvall about their new release from Diamonds & Guns.

We are now in the final stages for our EP “Making cash for heartless crooks ” and it will include five songs.”
Five years ago the band decided to raise funds and built their own studio and as we speak they are in the final their final stages towards a new E.P.! Viktor says: “The E.P. is named Making Cash for Heartless Crooks”

“We are going to have a release party to promote this EP and this will probably be in Stockholm, Sweden. And of course we also want to get out in the rest of Sweden and play our music! We are working on a tour plan and we will announce in due time!

What makes Diamonds & Guns to stick out?

First of all they have that energy that the old school punk rock has. A feeling that I truly have in my heart. I definitely hear vibes from Rage Against The Machine. Other Swedish punk-rock is much more “nice” and more of so called sing-a-long songs. Although I like Swedish punk I sometimes miss the energy that is found in punk music from abroad. As my own music interest started with the punk rock in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, it has a spot in my heart. A heart that melts when I hear the old school influences.

I thank Victor for a good chat and on behalf of everyone at Maizter-Underground we are wishing them Good Luck and an epic release party!

Yours truly!

Stina
