Slashy Sue has recently announced a roadmap towards the release of their debut-album named The Slasher Tapes. This independent recording is scheduled to be released in April of 2022. Prior to that Slashy Sue released their third single A Slice of Your Thigh.
Slashy Sue is a Industrial horror metalband originated in 2019 in Sweden. The founders of this band can be known for their work in Swedish Zephyra. Slashy Sue and her music are based on the fictional tale of serial killer Susan Henderson. The story goes that Miss Henderson killed and cannibalized 37 victims which earned here the nickname of Slashy Sue. The songs are Susan Henderson’s (fictional) confessions.
Recently Slashy Sue released the first two single’s of their upcoming debut album The Slasher Tapes. Wheel of Death was accompanied by a brand new video clip from this energetic Swedish couple whilst Tag, You’re Dead was accompanied by a lyric video!
On Friday the 4th of February the third single named A Slice of Your Thigh was released by Swedish Slashy Sue. After the two single’s that where released prior to this one, my expectations are high! Both Wheel of Death and Tag, Youre Dead are fantastic songs and truly recognisable as music made by this talented couple.
From the very first second I get pulled in once more. The voice of Åsa Netterbrant is captivating and gives me an ominous feeling. The tempo is steady and heavy, the composition of the song itself is well thought-out and the vocals can be best described as a perfect balance of growls and clean singing.
This third single above all gives me a feeling of visiting some kind of murderous carnival. A Slice of Your Thigh is a perfect fit with the earlier single’s and this single makes me even more exited for the debut album, The Slasher Tapes, which is set for release later this year!
