Slashy Sue has recently announced a roadmap towards the release of their debut-album named The Slasher Tapes. This independent recording is scheduled to be released in April of 2022. Prior to that Slashy Sue releases their second single, after Wheel of Death.
Slashy Sue is a Industrial horror metalband originated in 2019 in Sweden. The founders of this band can be known for their work in Swedish Zephyra. Slashy Sue and her music are based on the fictional tale of serial killer Susan Henderson. The story goes that Miss Henderson killed and cannibalized 37 victims which earned here the nickname of Slashy Sue. The songs are Susan Henderson’s (fictional) confessions.
Recently Slashy Sue released the first single of their upcoming debut album The Slasher Tapes. Wheel of Death was accompanied by a brand new video clip from this energetic Swedish couple.
On January 7th 2022 the second single is going to be released to the public and it’s called Tag, You’re Dead. Slashy Sue gave me the opportunity to pre-listen to this song and I must admit I’m hugely impressed. Slashy Sue always finds a way to pull you straight in, and Tag, You’re Dead is no different. From the opening tunes it has a captivating tempo and creepy feel to it. The heavy, loud and up-tempo guitar work, together with the aggressive drums and vocals, create a somewhat sinister feel to the song. An intriguing build-up, combined with “creepy” but impressive vocals, completes the best Slashy Sue song to date in my opinion. The Slasher Tapes promises to be a truly magnificent debut if we judge the songs that came out thus far!
Tag, You’re Dead is set to be released on January 7th 2022 on all digital platforms. Next to that Slashy Sue will release a Official Lyric video for Tag, You’re Dead one week later, on Friday the 14th of January 2022.
