In 2013, on the Greek Island of Corfu, Mind Erasure emerged. After several line-up changes the band found their form, and released two promo’s before they started work on their full-length debut album. As independent musicians this Greek threesome is working hard to deserve themselves a space in the spotlight! With the upcoming release of CONNIVE (Feb, 13th) I got the chance to have a talk with this energetic guys!
Hey, thanks for taking the time for an interview with Maizter Underground!
How are you doing? Covid and all.
Hello, thank you. We are Very good and healthy, very happy that our first album is released.
How did the band came to exist?
Back in 2007 we started rehearsing, mostly messing around. In 2013 we record our first demo and made the first live show. In 2016 Vasilis joined the band. That was a major upgrade for us since he is a very talented musician.
Can you introduce the band-members one by one?
The current line up is:
Lampros for vocals & bass, Spiros on Guitars and Vasilis plays drums and does the programming.
You guys call yourself Mind Erasure. How did you come up with this name and what does it mean?
It has to do with the manipulation that politicians but mostly the media do, and the way that humans give more value to gosip and intrigue, and do not give a fuck about improvement and education.

Can you tell me something about the journey this far? Where did the creativity came from for your first “own work” and who (if any) did inspire you?
I cannot say that I was inspired from someone specific. I believe that our music has its roots in the music that we like to listen. We have a wide range of musical taste. From blues rock and classical music to death and black metal. Lyrics in the other hand, are influenced by existential and nihilistic philosophy, war, violence and social decay.
What are the goals with Mind Erasure?
Since there is no chance that we will play live in the near future due to covid, we already started working in new material.
Are there are singles coming up?
No, we will need more time for that, for now we focus on promoting CONNIVE. That is our new full length album which is set for release of February 13th, 2022.
Do you have any festivals/gigs/shows planned?
No, sadly covid restrictions do not let us play…
