Swedish Harkla has announced the upcoming release of their new studio album! After a 3 year relative silence this Swedish duo is about to present their 4th album to the world.
Harkla was founded in 2013 in the South of Sweden by brothers Niklas and Karl Johansson. What started out as a progressive metal band, eventually led into the duo line up Harkla is today. Where the music is composed and produced by Niklas Johansson (Tungsten, Hulkoff etc. ) , the vocals and lyrics are from the hand and voice of Karl Johansson (Tungsten, Gothtanica etc. ). After releasing several single’s Harkla released their debut Thousands of Machines in 2015 followed in 2017 by the album Necrosis witch features We, The Shaded. Arguably the best known song of this energetic and talented duo. In 2020 Harkla released their third album Ruktur.
Now the time has come for Harkla to present their 4th album to the world. The album has been given the title The Living Mountain and is entirely composed by Niklas and Karl Johansson themselves. The mixing and mastering is done by Harm Studio’s and the album cover is designed by Jakub Kakol .
The Living Mountain will be released on November 17th 2023 and will be available on all streaming services.
Niklas Johansson on The Living Mountain: “Working with my brother on The Living Mountain was really fun to do! We aimed for a more melodic sound this time around, but even more heavy at the same time. And we have tried to blend in a more folkish vibe but with a haunted edge so to say!”
