Man Machine Industry (MMI) is Jhonny “Berget” Bergman’s soloproject, during live gigs he joins forces with skilled musicians. The first time I saw MMI was in 2014 when they toured with Raubtier. I was literally blown away and after that show I was totally hooked on the music! They have put together amazing live show’s so if u get the chance to see MMI live I can just say: Go for it!
Jhonny Berget is a man with many aces up his sleeves as he is a very talented musician who plays a lot of instruments. Great lyric writer, video producer and great talents in record producing. He also has another band named Reignsaw and he is a writer. To top it all of Jhonny is happily married and has an ordinary day job. He is also a guitar technician to Eclipse and a session drummer for Ice Age.
In 2019 MMI played for the first time at the festival Skogsröjet near Norrköping in Sweden. They were pretty early in the line-up but MMI truly knew how to get an audience happy! During 2020 MMI released their new record Doomsday Clock (rated 10 out of 10) and a tour was planned but, as for many other artists, it was cancelled due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic.
For Man Machine Industry the tour always has been a huge part of their record selling but more importantly it is on concerts and festivals our fans are!
Jhonny Berget adds: “To play live and meet the fans is amazing and so much fun. For me personally a good album has not more than 10 songs. For Doomsday Clock 16 or 17 songs where written and with 15 of them I really felt satisfied.”
MMI is signed to GMR music and now an album trilogy is planned .The first album is called Eschaton-The Reckoning Day and includes 7 songs. It will only be on CD but is sold in a bundle package. If you order it now you will get the CD, a patch, a pin and a signed fan card.
The red thread through the trilogy is a so-called “End of the world” –theme. Not necessarily all songs cover this theme but the album cover and most songs do. It is the “End of the world”-theme through different angles like war, pandemic and self-destruction.
For the covers MMI has once again worked with Anders Plassgård. He is an amazing artist and also made the cover for the album Doomsday Clock. When you are a multi talented person like Berget is, the whole package is hugely important.
Eschaton- Reckoning Day is set to be released on the 25th of March 2022 and it will released as CD. Man Machine Industry is going to release a video/song every month and in total it there will be 15 songs!
The release party for said album will be a private one with 50 guests as it felt like the right to do. For now a tour for MMI is not planned but if you have an urge to see Jhonny Berget live there are chances to do so in Stockholm at Downtown Riot (MMI) or at Gefle Metal Festival ( Drummer for Ice Age) in Gävle, Sweden. Plans for a tour are made and is scheduled for spring 2023.
